Sorry about the camera going out of focus. This is a video of a Zicam sample that is over 2 weeks old. I've observed that the blue portions act as a film that covers and retains moisture underneath. I've noted liquid-like puddles moving beneath the film. Breathing over the sample yields some interesting results:

Bloody good experiment. The fibres absorb moisture in a similar manner and I have seen them do it under the scope.
